PEPARNAS

Pekan National Paralympics or Weekend Paralimpik Indonesia (Peparnas) is a multi-sport competition that resembles the national sports week (PON) for athletes with disabilities in Indonesia. The difference in pounds and Peparnas lies in the Division of classes and technical match, where athletes are grouped based on his physical condition. Originally, Peparnas called the national Handicapped sports week (Porcanas), but the word ' disability ' is replaced with the word ' Paralympic Games ' as the development is happening in the organisation of the body of the constructor of the disabled Sports (BPOC) Indonesia.

 In Weekend National Paralympic Games XIV in Riau on 7-13 September 2012, there are 11 sports competition, namely: Athletics, Swimming, Volleyball, archery, Wheelchair Tennis, table tennis, badminton, Futsal, Bowling, chess and weight lifting with total medals contested reached 424 medals. Category type of disability that may be included are:  Tuna Netra, Tuna Daksha, Tuna Grahita, Deaf and speech impaired.

There are countless 13 Sport (cabor) with approximately 7000 athletes and 599 medals contested in the four-yearly event. As for the name of game, there are: Sitting Volleyball, chess, Goalball, football CP 5 slides, Wheelchair Tennis, table tennis, Tenpin Bowling, athletics, badminton, Judo, archery, Swimming, and weight lifting.

CAT

               Cats are very sensitive to sound, with a range of hearing both above and below the range of frequencies that can be detected by people. They can hear better than people and even better than most dogs. Feline hearing also acts as a direction finder, which is useful for hunting purposes. Cats generally turn their heads toward the direction of the sound while listening to pinpoint the location. The ear canal of cats is deeper and more tapered than in people. This deeper canal is subject to buildup of dirt and wax that can lead to inflammation and secondary infection, although to a lesser degree than in dogs.

              Cats do not rely as much on the sense of smell as some other animals. The sense of smell is less developed in cats than in dogs. Like people, cats are finicky about odors and try to cover disagreeable smells. Also like people, odor is an extremely important part of taste and enjoyment of food for cats. Cats that have lost their sense of smell due to illness (such as nasal or severe respiratory infection, nerve damage, or certain cancers) often stop eating completely.

             Most cats are excited by the smell of catnip, a plant that is a member of the mint family. However, not all cats react in the same way. Some become manic, others roll and purr, others are minimally affected. This herb is harmless and can be given to your cat either directly or as part of a catnip toy or ball.
             In relation to their body size, cats have the largest eyes of any mammal. Most cats do not have eyelashes. They see about 6 times better than a human at night, and need 1/6 the amount of light that a human does due to a layer of extra reflecting cells which absorb light. Recent studies have shown that cats can see blue and green, but there is disagreement as to whether they can see red. Protruding eyes give cats a wider angle of vision than we have. They also have great peripheral vision. That is why their field of vision is about 185 degrees. Both these adaptations are advantages to animals that are both predator and prey in the wild.

JOKER AND HARLEY

                 Once upon a time, there was a kingdom. The kingdom was lead by a king named King Joker. He was a wise and humble king. But, the king was being single for a long time, because he was a picky person.

                One day, King Joker was hunting in the forest with his soldier. After a while, they took some rest but the king decided to take a walk in the forest. Then, he heard a crying voice of woman. He searched where the voice was. He was shocked when he found out that the voice was from a beautiful young woman. Then, the king asked her “Why are you crying beautiful lady?” But, there was no answer. The woman kept on crying. He asked again “where are you from?” “I was searching for my cat, but I got lost” “Whats your name?” “I’m Harley.” she said in her cry.

                The king decided to help. But the woman refused the kings help “I don’t want to burden you” “No, it’s okay. I would be honoured to help you.” “Well, okay. Thank you for your help.” Then, they started to search for her cat. But, the evening got late and they still haven’t found it. So the king offered her to go to his castle for rest. The woman agreed since she felt tired.

                In the castle, the King treated her like a very special lady. After staying for 2 days, the King asked “Do you want me to take you home?” “No, no, no! May I stay for a little longer?” “I’m afraid your parents worried about you.” “Don’t worry”

                Next day, Harley met one of the king’s servant. The servant was shocked when she saw Harley, because that morning she saw an announcement that another kingdom searched for their princess, named Harley, “Aren’t you the lost princess?” “No, no, no! I’m not, I’m just an ordinary girl.” “But, I saw your face at the poster.” “NO!!!!!! I said no!!!!” and then she ran away. No one knows that the king was watching the conversation between Harley and the servant. The king was curious about the poster, so he asked the servant “What poster did you see?” “I saw Harley in the poster of the lost princess.” “Really?!! I must take her home!!”

                After that, the king met Harley in the garden “Harley, are you the lost princess?” “Eum… Actually, it was a long story, I can’t tell you now.” “But, I must take you home.” Harley agreed. And then, the King took Harley to her castle. On the way to Harley’s castle, Harley couldn’t help but to be sad. “Actually, my father forced me to marry someone I don’t like.” “Who?” “I don’t know.” “Actually, I felt the same way. Because I’m forced to marry someone I don’t like too, hehe.”

 Finally, they arrived at Harley’s Castle.  Harley’s parents were shocked to see that Harley came home with her fiancée “Harley, actually this is the guy that we want you to meet.” They both were shocked. Harley then said “If only I knew that he is the guy that will be my husband, I would never run away.”

And then, they got married and lived happily ever after!!!!!

RAINBOW MOUNTAINS

At the Zhangye Danxia Landform Geological Park in Gansu, China, tourists flock to see China's own version of the Grand Canyon: A mountain range of densely packed layers of minerals and rock that are dramatically striated into a layer cake of magenta, maroon, and lemon-colored stone. 

Rainbow mountains are extremely beautiful. It is unique, with many gorgeous colour they have. I want to go there because it seems so interesting. I've never seen any of mountains whose colour is rainbow like this.

So how is it formed ? it was formed by the erosion of red sandstone, forming isolated peaks and sterp stratified outcrops. Its special geological structure, combined with long-term desert conditions, freeze-thaw peeling and wind, and water erosion gave rise to its present appereance. 

The Rainbow Mountains are cretaceous sandstones and siltstones that were deposited in China before the Himalayan Mountains were formed. The sand and silt was deposited with iron and trace minerals that provided it with the key ingredient to form the colors we see today.

What was once a layered horizontal and flat stratigraphy was disrupted by the Indian Plate colliding into the Eurasian plate approximately 55 million years ago. Much like when two cars get in a wreck and the bumpers fold and break, a similar process folded what was once flat sandstones into the Rainbow Mountains we see today. This process uplifted mountains and exposed sedimentary rocks that were otherwise hidden well below the surface of the earth. Weathering and erosion removed the overlying layers of continental siliciclastic rocks and exposed underlying formations with different mineralogy and chemistry. This causes the striking variation in colors seen across the Rainbow Mountains.

Geologist believe that rainbow mountains topography is formed by folding of layered oceanic crust. Exposed slanting rock layers have different colours, textures, shapes,  sizes, and patterns. The combination of differences is density and erosion create towering peaks, cave holes, and stone halls.

PEACE

World without peace is terrible. Can you imagine when there are a lot of wars everywhere and everytime ? peace as for now is hard to find. We have to stop this. Let the world be in peace so that we can live happily. 

Everyone has to live in safety, without fear. We have to love each other so that we can live in peace. We can start with our family first. We have to love our parents, our brothers or sisters and any other people in the family. We have to take care of them and help them when they need help.

Peace is a stress-free state of security and calmness that comes when there’s no fighting or war, everything coexisting in perfect harmony and freedom.

In our war-torn world, it seems like there’s not nearly enough peace. However peace can be big and small, seen in entire countries or brief moments. After a war, two countries may sign a peace treaty, agreeing to not fight anymore. When you feel at peace with yourself, you are content to be the person you are, flaws and everything.

Peace occurs between heterogeneous social groups and is characterized by a lack of conflict and freedom from fear of violence. Commonly understood as the absence of hostility, peace often involves compromise, and therefore is initiated with thoughtful listening and communication to enhance and create mutual understanding.

Peace can be defined in a positive direction and in a negative sense. Positively, peace is a state of tranquility and stillness; however, in a negative sense, peace is the absence of war or violence.

We can start sharing our positive thoughts with everyone, in every place, and everytime. Let the world be in peace !!

MEGANTARA

Megantara is an arts and Cultural Festival events organized by SMAN 3 Bandung. The event was attended by RAN, The Changcuters, OSD HMT-ITB, Bali, the Puri's Studio SME Hamdani, Wayang Golek Son Giri Rampak Kendang 3 Harja, Darul Hikam, ElHouse Art Production, Art Sunda Group 3, Choral: Angklung 3 family, group Vocals, classical music 3, Tiloe's Theatre, Band 3.
In addition, opened also a variety of food booths and regional art and culture in Indonesia, such as Borneo, Sumatra, Sulawesi, Java, etc.
 
Megantara was held on 10 september 2016. It is one of SMAN 3 Bandung events. It was inspired by many cultures in Indonesia, such  as Jawa, Kalimantan, Sumatra, Sulawesi, and Papua. It was nice to go there, the festival made us not to forget all the indonesian culture, it made us enjoy the entire activity with the modern concept they've made.

There were some artists who came to give more colour in the festival. They've been success to make megantara be more exciting. Megantara also show us about the instrumental of indonesia, so if we don't know about it before, we can know it when we came to the festival.

The light and the scenic of the night  gathered became something beautiful. People scream with joy, it made people who already made the beautiful festival felt really proud for what they have been done. That day was a really unforgettable moment in my life.

Hello !! welcome to my blog.
I'm Vini Prasasti Asshafah Tan, i'm 15 years old now, i was born in Bandung the 2nd of june, and i'm a student of SMAN 3 Bandung. I lived with my beloved grandma, my sweet mom, my cool dad, and my annoying yet lovely sisters.

I like reading a novel and listening to music, it helps me a lot whenever i get bored. I wanna go to institute of technology in Bandung. Soon i wanna be a successful person who can help people with anything that i have.
